Effects of water-administered probiotics and acidifiers on growth, feed conversion and enteritis mortality of weanling rabbits

, : Effects of water-administered probiotics and acidifiers on growth, feed conversion and enteritis mortality of weanling rabbits. Journal of Applied Rabbit Research 12(3): 143-147

In 4 experiments, 448 weaned 28-day-old New Zealand White rabbits were given drinking water containing the probiotic Lacto-Sacc (LS) 1.25 or the probiotic-acidifier Acid-Pak 4-Way (AP4W) 5 g/litre. LS and AP4W improved feed conversion efficiency and reduced incidence of enteritis compared with controls; LS had a greater effect than AP4W.
