The toxicity of deltamethrin, cypermethrin, fenvalerate and permethrin (at 3.0 p.p.m.) to the stored products pests Callosobruchus chinensis and C. maculatus infesting green gram was evaluated in the laboratory. Deltamethrin and cypermethrin were the most toxic compounds, followed by permethrin and fenvalerate, which was greatly inferior to the other insecticides tested.
