The efficacy of 5 fungicides, applied at the dough stage, in controlling grain mould of the sorghum cultivar 296 B was assessed during the 1985 and 1986 seasons. In 1985, captan, Dithane M-45 and Delan were most effective, reducing grain mould to 45.57, 45.86 and 46.72%, respectively, compared with 54.97% for the untreated control. In 1986, mancozeb (44.43% incidence), captan (45.86%) and Foltaf (45.86%) gave lower incidences than the control (68.24%).
