Examinations on Salmonella and Campylobacter contaminations of slaughtered poultry

Baromfitenyesztes es Feldolgozas 36(2): 24-29

Poultry carcasses (n=320) from 7 poultry abattoirs were examined. The proportion of samples (washings from the surface of carcasses) positive for Salmonella varied from 0 to 70% in the different abattoirs. 10 serotypes were found and the most common isolates were S. typhimurium, S. heidelberg and S. enteritidis.
