The varieties Parus, Chernomor and Korall Odesskii were grown under controlled conditions designated "southern" (20- 23 degrees C, relative humidity ~60%, photoperiod 16 h at 40-55 klx) and the seeds obtained were raised under the same conditions and under natural conditions of the Leningrad summer designated "northern" (15-17 degrees C, relative humidity 70-75%, photoperiod <more or =>18 h).
