Exchange rates and EC agriculture - international and European monetary challenges

The importance of exchange rates for agriculture in the EC is analysed and the impact of real exchange rate changes on prices, trade and income is identified under different commodity market regimes (free trade, agricultural price policy). Monetary variables appear to induce considerable real effects and resource adjustment within agriculture and between agriculture and other sectors.
