Excretory secretory material from different sites of female reproductive tissue of filarial parasite Setaria digitata

Definite differences in excretory secretory (ES) material of ovary, embryo and microfilarial (mf) regions of the uterine tissue of S. digitata were observed. Embryo and mf regions showed new proteins and glycoproteins compared to ovary. Concentration of some of the existing proteins were also found to be increased. Activities of enzymes such as leucine aminopeptidase (LAP) were elevated in the embryo and mf regions compared to the ovary.
