Experience from a practical comparison of performance in using light forest strip ploughs for soil cultivation in underplanting

Experience from a practical comparison of performance in using light forest strip ploughs for soil cultivation in underplanting

Sozialistische Forstwirtschaft 36(8): 230-231

A note on comparative trials with 6 different E. German ploughs, drawn by small tractors or by horses, in preparing the ground for the underplanting of beech in larch and Scots pine stands. The best results were with the RPK-U which combines soil cultivation and planting. The Waldmeister A.50-1 can only be used with spacings of >1.5 m between the rows.
