Experience with the HPLC method (EEC 1725) for testing dried skim milk for adulteration

Experience with the HPLC method (EEC 1725) for testing dried skim milk for adulteration

Molkereitechnik 82-83: 85-89

An HPLC method that determined a glycomacropeptide cleaved by chymosin from kappa -casein was found suitable for detecting rennet whey in dried skim milk or dried sweet-cream buttermilk (as required by EEC Regulation 1725/79) provided that due consideration was given to peak 4 in evaluation of the chromatogram, so as to allow for possible interference from other proteinases.
