Experience with the plant growth regulator Baronet in oilseed rape (Brassica napus) in Yugoslavia

In 16 field trials at 9 sites in Yugoslavia in 1984-86 (plot size 0.08-38.0 ha) 1 or 2 applications of Baronet, a 70% water-dispersible granular formulation of triapenthenol, at 500-750 g/ha increased rape seed yields in all but one case. Av. yields in the 3 years were 2.55, 2.78 and 2.85 t/ha without treatment and 2.78, 3.23 and 3.30 t from treated plots. Spraying early (plant height 20-30 cm), late (30-50 cm) or at both stages gave yield increases of 10.5, 9.2 and 20.7%, resp.
