Experiences with oligolytic treatment of slurry. Influencing NH3 production in a rabbit house

Experiences with oligolytic treatment of slurry. Influencing NH3 production in a rabbit house

Landtechnik 45(3): 116-120

In a rabbit breeding house (1342 animals with approx. 3000 kg live weight), the faeces and urine underneath the cages were treated by oligolysis in 4 channels. The total vol. of continuously treated slurry was 6.26 msuperscript 3. Interior climate data and ammonia concn were based on measurements from a previous test period. NH3 production of 2.7 g/msuperscript 3 was recorded in the treated house compared with 27.2 g/msuperscript 3 in the untreated house.
