Experiences with oral immunization of foxes against rabies in Vorarlberg

Wiener Tierarztliche Monatsschrift 75(9): 338, 340

Following a rabies-free period in 1956-1967 the sylvatic form of the disease occurred in 1967 in Vorarlberg and became endemic. So-called Tubingen baits containing the rabies vaccine SAD B19 were distributed at 16/kmsuperscript 2 over a 2000 kmsuperscript 2 area in the spring and autumn of 1986 and spring 1987.
