Experiences with the use of fungicides against the withering of American carnations

Experiences with the use of fungicides against the withering of American carnations

Agrochemia 27(4): 120-123

The economically most important disease of American carnations in Czechoslovakia is withering caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. dianthi. If the soil becomes contaminated with this pathogen it is very difficult to eliminate infection as the pathogen penetrates very deep into the soil profile. A recirculation system on mineral felt with Benlate alternated with Chinosol W and Topsin M 70 WP alternated with Orthocide 50 was tested.
