Experiential challenge program development in the mental health setting

A major growth area today is the development and implementation of 'adventure' and 'challenge' programmes in mental health settings. Three main approaches to programme development have emerged: (1) creating programmes on-site, where agency personnel are trained to lead the different activities; (2) offering programmes off-site, led by agency personnel and (3) offering programmes off-site, led by outdoor challenge consultants/specialists.
