In laboratory studies on the stored products pest Callosobruchus maculatus, survivorship at ages of 3.5, 10.5, 17.5, and 24.5, 31.5 and 38.5 days was about 91, 76, 67.5, 52.5, 28 and 8%, resp. Fecundity at 24.5, 31.5 and 38.5 days averaged 5.585, 22.295 and 49.623, resp. The net reproductive rate, intrinsic rate of natural increase and finite rate of increase were about 13:145, 0.0804 and 1.08037, resp., and the cohort generation time was 32.04 days.
