Experimental antimycotic activity of naftifine and terbinafine

Experimental antimycotic activity of naftifine and terbinafine

Recent trends in the discovery, development and evaluation of antifungal agents: 441-450

Naftifine and terbinafine demonstrated a broad spectrum of antifungal activity in vitro, terbinafine being the more potent compound. They were primarily fungicidal against Trichophyton spp., Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum spp., Aspergillus spp., Sporothrix schenckii, Candida parapsilosis and Pityrosporum spp., but fungistatic against some Candida spp., including C. albicans.
