Experimental candidiasis - participation of indigenous bacterial flora and resistance factors of the host in producing on animal model

Experimental candidiasis - participation of indigenous bacterial flora and resistance factors of the host in producing on animal model

Japanese Journal of Medical Mycology 29(3): 169-181

Two models are described, involving systemic candidosis produced by Candida albicans colonization in the gastrointestinal tract of mice and colonization by C. albicans in the vagina of pregnant mice and its transfer to suckling mice.
