Experimental designs for mapping quantitative trait loci in segregating populations

Experimental designs for mapping quantitative trait loci in segregating populations

Proceedings of the 4th World Congress on Genetics applied to Livestock Production, Edinburgh 23-27 July 1990 XIII Plenary lectures, molecular genetics and mapping, selection, prediction and estimation: 113-116

Two designs, designated the "daughter" and "granddaughter" designs, which have been suggested for the detection of quantitative trait loci of moderate magnitude in outcrossing populations, are discussed.
