Experimental infection of calves with Escherichia coli K99+ : protective effect of smectite

Bulletin de l' Academie Veterinaire de France 61(3): 365-375

Scanning electron microscopic studies of the intestinal villi of calves dosed with 500 mg/kg smectite for 4 days from the time of inoculation with Escherichia coli K99+ confirmed the protective effect of this antidiarrhoea agent.
