Aerial tubers were most successfully induced from cultured apical meristems of 10 varieties at 16 degrees -20 degrees C in an 8 h day at 1000 lux, with 6% sucrose in a growth medium supplemented with 5 mg benzyladenine/litre and 0.01 mg NAA/litre.
