Experimental pulmonary aspergillosis in lambs - a mycopathological study

Experimental pulmonary aspergillosis in lambs - a mycopathological study

Indian Journal of Veterinary Pathology 11: 38-43

A total of 32 apparently healthy lambs (4-6 months old) were divided into 5 groups (A, B, C, D, E). Pulmonary aspergillosis was induced by intratracheal inoculation of 12 x 106 spores of Aspergillus fumigatus/lamb in cortisone treated (A) and untreated (B) lambs. Respiratory distress and pyrexia developed during the first week but subsequently subsided. Intensity of reaction was comparatively greater in group A than group B.
