Experimental results concerning the inheritance of response to attack by Fusarium graminearum in maize

Experimental results concerning the inheritance of response to attack by Fusarium graminearum in maize

Analele Institutului de Cercetari pentru Cereale si Plante Tehnice, Fundulea 56: 45-55

A study was made during 1985-86 of response to F. graminearum under artificial infection in 6 parent lines and 6 hybrids in the F1, F2, BC1 and BC2. The effect of genotype was determined for 3 hybrids in respect of ear infection and for one hybrid in respect of stem infection. Additive, epistatic and/or environmental effects (depending on the cross) were significant for ear infection, while additive and environmental effects were significant for stem infection.
