Factors contributing to differential risk between heifers in contracting summer mastitis

Summer Mastitis A Workshop in the Community Programme for the Coordination of Agricultural Research, held at the Central Veterinary Institute, Lelystad, The Netherlands, 23-24 October, 1986 Sponsored by the Commission of the European Communities, Directorate General for Agriculture, Coordination of Agricultural Research: 30-39
Factors contributing to differential risk between heifers in contracting summer mastitis
Based on work conducted in the Netherlands, a survey is given of factors which may contribute to differential risk between heifers in contracting summer mastitis. These include such aspects as genetic background and the physiological condition of the individual. As yet very little attention has been paid to the causal factors which lead to increased risk.
