Farm incomes in South West England

Report, Agricultural Economics Unit, University of Exeter ( 229): 66pp.

Farm incomes in South West England

The report is based on an analysis of data from an identical sample of 200 farms which participated in the Farm Business Survey in South West England. Comparisons are made between economic and technical performance in the financial years 1986/87 and 1987/88. The results are presented for five farm types (specialist dairy, mainly dairy, lowland cattle and sheep, upland cattle and sheep, and mainly cropping). An improvement in income was observed for all types of farm in 1987/88.
