Farm managers' salaries

Farm Management 7(3): 119-126
Farm managers' salaries
The paper summarizes results of 2 surveys carried out to investigate the salaries earned by farm managers in England and Wales: (1) a postal survey of managers employed by the 8 leading agricultural land agents, 4 major farming companies and 2 large firms of agricultural consultants; and (2) personal interviews with 60 managers selected from all identifiable managers in Lancashire and Lincolnshire. Of the 126 managers (out of 132) in the 2 surveys who replied, 79% earned between #7500-#15 000.
