Feed, nutrient disappearance patterns exist in facilities

Feed, nutrient disappearance patterns exist in facilities

Feedstuffs 62(24): 14-16

Feed intake by pigs is strongly influenced by ambient temperature and management factors, and unless diet formulations are changed to account for changes in intake, intake of critical nutrients may be inadequate and may limit rate of lean growth. The relation between season and feed intake in growing-finishing pigs was studied on 68 farms in Iowa and southern Minnesota, USA using from the Swine Graphics record scheme.
