Further contribution to the study of cardiac aneurysms in pigs

Selezione Veterinaria 30(1 bis): 229-234

Of 9483 pigs slaughtered at two abattoirs, 3124 (32.9%) had auricular aneurysms. The frequency rates at the two abattoirs were 38.2% of 5449 pigs at one abattoir slaughtering pigs aged 8-9 months from one farm operating a closed cycle system, and 25.8% of 4034 pigs at the second abattoir slaughtering pigs mainly from intensive farms operating on an open cycle system.
