Guthion-resistant strain of walnut aphid parasite

Guthion-resistant strain of walnut aphid parasite

California Agriculture 42(4): 4-5

A strain of the braconid Trioxys pallidus, a parasitoid of Chromaphis juglandicola on walnuts, was selected in the laboratory in California for resistance to azinphos-methyl, which was often used to control other walnut pests. Five colonies were established with insects collected from the field in different areas of California and assayed for their tolerance to azinphos-methyl.
