Heat exchangers in microclimate systems of cattle and poultry housing

Heat exchangers in microclimate systems of cattle and poultry housing

Mekhanizatsiya i Elektrifikatsiya Sel' skogo Khozyaistva ( 2): 26-29

A system of air vents and heat exchangers designed for a house with 4000 calves and young cattle is described and schematic diagrams of the heat regulating system are given. The house is divided into 10 sections with 400 animals in each. Air warmed by the animal body heat is extracted and circulated through a heat exchanger, and warm fresh air is blown in; supplementary heating by calorifiers is used in winter. The system is controlled by thermoregulators.
