Hempa as chemosterilant for the rice moth Corcyra cephalonica Stainton

Hempa was applied topically to adults of the stored products pest Corcyra cephalonica in the laboratory at 15, 45, 75, 105 and 150 micro g/adult in three different crosses (C1 - treated male X treated female, C2 - treated male X untreated female and C3 - treated female X untreated male) at intervals of 0 and 24 h between treatment and placing together of males and females for mating and oviposition. Hempa at 150 micro g/adult caused maximum sterility of adults.
