Hepatic concentration of retinol, retinyl palmitate and alpha -tocopherol in rats deficient in vitamin A and/or vitamin E

Hepatic concentration of retinol, retinyl palmitate and alpha -tocopherol in rats deficient in vitamin A and/or vitamin E

Les carences nutritionnelles dans les pays en voie de developpement 3es Journees Scientifiques Internationales du GERM, Nianing Senegal 4-9 octobre 1987: 370-375

From weaning male Sprague-Dawley rats were fed on a diet without vitamin A, vitamin E or ascorbate for 1 week then, in 8 groups, on diets without or with all 3 vitamins (vitamin A 6.0 mu g, vitamin E 0.17 mg and ascorbate 0.80 mg/g) or with different combinations of the 3 vitamins, to appetite, for 8 weeks. Retinol, retinyl palmitate and alpha -tocopherol were estimated in liver by high-performance liquid chromatography.
