Herbicide tolerance of wild Glycine species

Herbicide tolerance of wild Glycine species

Proceedings, 42nd annual meeting of the Northeastern Weed Science Society: 54

The tolerance of 20 plant accessions from 11 Glycine species to 1.1 kg glyphosate/ha, 0.01 kg chlorsulfuron and 0.3-2.2 kg 2,4-D and atrazine was studied. All plants were severely injured and stunted by glyphosate and chlorsulfuron. Many accessions showed a high degree of tolerance to <less or =>0.6 kg atrazine and 2,4-D. All plants were severely injured by <more or =>1.1 kg atrazine but the majority of the species were highly tolerant of 0.6 and 1.1 kg 2,4-D.
