The high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) estimation of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) apolipoproteins (apo) using sodium deoxycholate (NaDOC) solution as a solvent for delipidation and separation was examined and the results were compared with those of a previous sodium dodecyl sulphate system. The estimation of the major apo components of HDL, apo A-I and A-II, by the NaDOC system was compared with that by a single radial immunodiffusion method.
