In vitro antifungal activity and structure-activity relationship studies of novel cis-5-acyloxyalkyl-3-phenyl-3-(1H-imidazol-1-ylmethyl)-2-methylisoxazolidine derivatives

Only the phenyl and 4-chlorophenyl analogues of these compounds showed potent in vitro activity against Trichophyton and Candida spp. Homologation of the 5-acetyloxymethyl group to 5-acetyloxyethyl led to an increase in activity against both T. sp. and C. stellatoidea.
