Inheritance of some physiological characters associated with yield and protein content of the grain in high-lysine maize

Genotypic variation was found in a number of physiological characters associated with grain yield and accumulation of protein in the grain, together with heterosis for these characters in F1 hybrids over the parental lines, which differed in GCA for all the characters studied.
