In a greenhouse pot culture experiment, H. cajani enhanced F. udum pathogenicity in the wilt-susceptible pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan) genotype ICP 2376, but reactions of the wilt-tolerant (BDN 1) and wilt-resistant (ICP 8863) genotypes to the fungus were not altered by the nematode. Plants of ICP 8863 exhibited better growth than ICP 2376 and BDN 1 when inoculated with the fungus.
