Introduction of Telenomus remus Nixon (Hym.: Scelionidae) for the control of Spodoptera frugiperda (Lep.: Noctuidae) in Yaritagua - Venezuela

, : Introduction of Telenomus remus Nixon (Hym.: Scelionidae) for the control of Spodoptera frugiperda (Lep.: Noctuidae) in Yaritagua - Venezuela. Agronomia Tropical Maracay 39(4-6): 199-205

The egg parasitoid Telenomus remus was released in maize fields for the control of Spodoptera frugiperda in Venezuela during July 1987. Up to 100% parasitism was obtained near the release points. Six weeks after release, 60% parasitism was observed.
