, : Investigation of benzo(a)pyrene and aflatoxin B1-DNA adducts by indirect immunofluorescence. Proceedings Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research 31: 90

Antibodies generated against benzo(a)pyrene diol epoxide modified DNA were used to investigate adducts in skin biopsies of coal tar treated psoriasis patients. Specific nuclear staining was visible in the epidermal cells of all biopsies from patients but not from untreated controls. Postlabelling of DNA isolated from the biopsies was used to determine the spectrum of hydrophobic adducts present. A pattern of multiple adducts was detected in the samples obtained from treated patients.
