Investigation of the production of baker's garlic in the Sanrihama sand dune of Fukui Prefecture


, : Investigation of the production of baker's garlic in the Sanrihama sand dune of Fukui Prefecture. Bulletin of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tottori University 41: 101-110

Baker's garlic is produced in the Sanrihama sand dune region of Fukui Prefecture by 357 farmers over a total area of 200 ha. The cultivar grown is Hana Rakkyo, a small-bulb type, which takes two years to grow (other areas grow cultivars which only take 1 year to grow). Production is 2600 t/year.
