Although no fungicide had been approved for control of Botrytis squamosa on field onions in the GFR, Euparen (dichlofluanid) was often used in practice. Gas chromatographic analyses carried out throughout the GFR during 1984-85 on onions treated with dichlofluanid showed that in no case was the max. residue level permitted in minor crops (5.0 mg/kg) exceeded.
