Isolation of a TGE virus-related respiratory coronavirus causing fatal pneumonia in pigs

Isolation of a TGE virus-related respiratory coronavirus causing fatal pneumonia in pigs

Veterinary Record 124(2): 43-44

Blood samples and lung and nasal lavage fluids were collected at weekly intervals from 4 pigs, between the ages of 3 months and 6 months, on a large pig farm which had a high percentage of animals with neutralising antibodies against transmissible gastroenteritis (TGE) virus in the absence of the disease.
