Lesions associated with mammary neoplasms in dogs and cats

Bollettino Associazione Italiana Veterinari per Piccoli Animali 28(3): 245-252

Histological examination of biopsy samples from mammary neoplasms and surrounding tissue from 91 dogs and 16 cats showed precancerous lobular and ductal hyperplasia in 67(73.6%) of the dogs and 9 (56.3%) of the cats at the periphery of the neoplastic nodules.
