Geographical features, land use for agriculture and livestock production in Turkey are discussed. 31.5% of the land in Turkey is cultivated and 11.3% is pasture or meadows. Approx. 48% of the population is engaged in agricultural practices. During 1980-84 the numbers of dairy cattle (ewes, goats and cows) and milk production decreased.
