Shoot tips (25 mm in length with 3-4 leaves) were excised from potato Benimaru plantlets, cultured in vitro on Murashige and Skoog medium, and grown at photosynthetic photon fluxes (PPF) of 65, 210 and 400 micro mol/msuperscript 2 s and 0, 75 or 30 g sucrose/litre under CO2 enriched or CO2 non-enriched conditions. FW, DW, leaf number and leaf area were determined from 0 to 29 d after exclusion (DAE).
