Mycorrhizal synthesis in rooted Norway spruce cuttings

Mycorrhizal synthesis in rooted Norway spruce cuttings

Allgemeine Forstzeitschrift (27-28-29): 695-696

Details are given of a procedure for achieving a defined synthesis of mycorrhizae on rooted cuttings of Picea abies (in the context of producing standardized material for investigations associated with forest dieback). Fungal inoculum of Paxillus involutus and Pisolithus tinctorius is produced by a modified vermiculite/peat method; details are given of the culture and inoculation procedures.
