New generation of rabies vaccine. Vaccinia-rabies glycoprotein recombinant virus

New generation of rabies vaccine. Vaccinia-rabies glycoprotein recombinant virus

Applied Virology Research, Volume 1 New Vaccines and Chemotherapy: 69-90

After a description of rabies virus structures and vaccinia virus, construction of a vaccinia rabies glycoprotein recombinant virus is described. Results summarized from several experiments indicate that the vaccinia-rabies glycoprotein recombinant virus was highly immunogenic and gave better protection rates that conventional rabies vaccines.
