New lucerne cultivars evaluated for cutting in the Republic of Argentina

Of 31 cultivars evaluated in greenhouse trials in 1987-89, the most resistant to Acyrthosiphon pisum and A. kondoi, respectively, were Pioneer Brand 5929, Baron, Armona and Madera (73.4-83.8% plant survival) and WL605, Pioneer Brand 5929 and WL516 (52.8-68.5% plant survival).
