New marker genes found in cassava

, : New marker genes found in cassava. Cassava Newsletter 13(1): 1-5

Five new marker genes in cassava are described controlling the following traits: chlorophyll production (normal vs. albino), with the locus designated A; stem growth habit (zigzag vs. straight), with the locus designated Z; stem collenchyma colour (light green vs. dark green), with the locus designated G; root parenchyma colour (white vs. yellow), with the locus designated Y; and leaf lobe shape (normal vs. pandurate), with the locus designated P.
