Nitrogen efficiency of Egyptian clover (Trifolium alexandrinum L.)

In pot experiments, T. alexandrinum was given 25 kg N + 50 kg P2O5 + 50 kg K2O, 25 kg N + 100 kg P2O5 + 50 kg K2O, or 25 kg N + 100 kg P2O5 + 100 kg K2O/ha with or without inoculum of Rhizobium trifolii. Max. number of root nodules, biomass and N content occurred in plants given 25 kg N + 100 kg P2O5 + 100 kg K2O + inoculum.
