Occupational health hazard survey of 51 Ontario sewage treatment plants

Results are given from preliminary inspection of 51 of 400 sewage treatment plants, carried out in 1987, to examine: worker exposure to sewage, sewage sludge and chemicals used in sewage treatment; safe work practices and procedures; ventilation, personal hygiene and medical surveillance and education.
